LEAD BUYER CHINA AS HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN | German Hidden Champion | High-Tech Films (m/f/x)
Tasks
As a Head of Purchasing you will be in charge of the procurement, buying and contracting processes including disposition, stockpiling and material supply for the manufacturing plant. Your team with dispatcher and warehouse clerks will support you in the role.
Developing, defining and ensuring the procurement strategy incl. risk management will be your main focus. You will decide about the suppliers by analyzing markets as well as checking offers for risks and benefits and negotiate framework contracts. Being a professional organizer you build and maintain an effective supply chain consisting of incoming and outgoing warehouse shipments including transport disposition. Elaboration of savings potentials under the assurance of deadline and quality requirements will also be a part of your task.
You are situated directly at the production site in Guangzhou. Your reporting line will be the CEO in Germany, your disciplinary superior is the Plant Manager in China.
PROFILE
You have completed a degree in business administration and already have experience in international supply chain management, purchasing and sourcing. Knowledge of Chinese contract law and technical knowledge, for example, in packaging or plastics will be an advantage. You enjoy doing market research and benchmarking in the sphere of procurement. ERP and KPIs are not unknown words for you.
You are either already living in China or are passionate about Asia and willing to relocate there. You fluently communicate and read in Mandarin or Cantonese as well as in German or English.
If you have an affinity to China and working experience in a manufacturing industrial company there, you are our prefered candidate.
